Fabulous is a term with dozens of important gay meanings. Like most words the context and situation in which it is used must be carefully considered.
The most important meaning, however, is that which indicates greatness, beauty, fun and all-around good times.
It is also important to note that, in the gay community, fabulous has become a sort of scale of beauty, fun and campiness. This is often known as fabulousity, or more specifically, the Scale of Fabulousity.
The authors of this blog hereby declare officially that the word "FABULOUS" and all related derivatives are completely gay words. This decision is based on the fact that no straight person of any age, gender or upbringing can seriously use the word in any context without having his or her sexual orientation brought into question.
