(2) comments,   (0) trackbacks

Hello Kiddies!

Embedding video in your Q Blogs blog is easy as can be.

First, on sites like YouTube, there's an area that says - EMBED - and in the box is a little bit of code.  Right click in the box and "Select All."

Embedding Video

Then, if you haven't already done so, log into your admin panel and select --> Entries --> Add

Add your text then select the HTML button (below) ...

Embedding Video

This will open a popup window.  Right click inside the window and select PASTE.  You'll see the code you copied from the source.  If you don't, open a new window or tab and grab the code again.  read more >>

What the Heck are Meta Tags? And Should I See a Doctor About Them?
(0) comments,   (0) trackbacks

No. If you have meta tags conside it a good thing and no reason to see a doctor! You are one step further along than most folks.

But, if you do NOT know what meta tags are nor what to do with them once you have them; then read on....

Here's the technical definition:

"An element of HTML coding on a website that is used by search engines to index (add the pages to their database) a website. Most meta-tags are included within the 'header' code of a website and the most important tags are the title, description and keyword tags. Rules used by different search engines govern how such tags are used, how many characters they should contain, and how they should be formatted." read more >>

It's Still All About You!

So ... next to the "Author" tab is a "Description" tab.

"But I just wrote a damned description!"

Well, depending on the template you choose, the author description and the blog description are two different things.

Remember then, that the author description is about you the blogger, the blog description is about the blog itself.

You can play around with these and switch them up if you want.  Nothing is set in stone.  It IS your blog.

Next to the "Description" tab is a "Logo" tab.  I know.  I know.  You already uploaded an image.  This image is solely dependent on the blog template you chose.  This image is typically set in the header or top section of your blog.read more >>

It's All About YOU!

That's right ... it's all about you honey.

One of the things I like about blogs is learning about the authors. I find it very interesting to discover who they are and why they are creating their blog.

Now that you have activated your account, you'll need to establish a foundation for your blog before you go about making it all FABULOUS.

Across the top of the site is the MAIN MENU select the INFORMATION button.

The SUBMENU displays these tabs: AUTHOR, DESCRIPTION, LOGO, META TAGS, MY FILES, FEEDS, and CONTACT.

Select the AUTHOR tab.
