Violence is a direct result of silence. When we are silent as
community we set our selves up for violence of all sorts. Stories,
and personal histories are just a few of the ways we can have voice.
When we talk, communicate and read we connect with each other and
break the chains of isolation in our existence. This is the mission
of The Q Press. To help you find voice in your life through the
written word. In producing books we hope to celebrate the diversity
of life and our community.
Every person has a story an idea and everyone who wants to write can
write. Grammar, spelling and making sense of the words are easy for
a good editor. But you must have the story and idea. We are here to
help you along the way … Publishing your work, offering it to the
world is an exciting idea for us all. To be known ,not in a famous
way, but in way that our very existence takes on purpose and meaning
within our community and in your personal life gives us all hope.
There are no should do(s) in publishing. There are no rules about the
stories that need to be told. No one is going to sit in judgment
about your ability to communicate through written word. Within each
of us is our story and ideas about who we are and what our meaning is
in life. Writing is one way of giving that life.
