I thought this event was unusual ... well almost so. You see, for years I've had similar dreams ... conquering "demons" with magic from my hands. It was unusual in that this time it felt "real" ... not the dreamreality type of real ... I mean the same real feeling as my dreamemory from 1977. It also had the added layer of being a lucid event ... but despite the lingering emotions from the dream my day went on as usual. Then, on this second night, I awake standing in the streets of a city. Again it feels New Yorkish and again, I feel past a present blending together. While the dream of the previous night felt "down" this dreamemory was downright cheerful. I felt like I knew what I was doing. I felt powerful. Energy charged me, making me giddy. As I surveyed the teeming people moving along the street in the hustle and bustle of "life" I realized that those I saw were both the living and the dead! At times, the spirits would suddenly look at me and smile - as if recognizing a friend! We'd approach each other and reach out our hands as if to shake. I'd ask "Are you one of the living?" then "Are you one of the passed?" and finally "You are one of the loved." With sudden tears of joy they'd fade quickly, slipping from the netherworld into the next. I'd shake hands with the living and the dead asking the same questions. Saying the same things. Everything moving swiftly and filled with utter joy. The power, the energy I felt was astounding. My heart near bursting with happiness. And suddenly, my questions became as song! I sang it aloud! "Are you one of the living?""Are you one of the passed?""Are you one of the loved?" Spirits and the living took up the song. And, as I sang this song they would raise their hands ... the living raising their hands at the first question, the dead raising their hands at the second question, and everyone raising their hands at the last. So filled with happiness, everyone was! Cheering! Clammering to participate in the song. Whether the living saw the dead and the dead witnessed the living is not clear. But as I strode through the streets singing my song, tears of joy rolling down my cheeks ... those who were passed faded into white light and moved to the next level. I wish I could express to you how this felt. I only know that I awoke from this dreamemory sobbing ... my pillows wet from tears and sweat. And an unmistakable love filling my chest. I fell back into sleep ... quickly ... peacefully.
