my blog buddy jester over at jestertunes.com has gone all media-techie and started a blogtalkradio show.  well, last night was his second show and i promised myself that i would participate since i missed out last week during his premiere show.  i happened to be busy watching american idol and project runway and couldn't tear myself away from my favorite designers.  and so it was that last night i joined the show mid-conversation because the beginning of the show was just some witty banter between the callers who already knew each other to some degree.  and they covered some really provocative topics which definitely got me ROFLMAO.  but, me, being all stalkery like i am just listened in until the conversation turned to the topic of the day: read more >>

well, it's been speculated about david hernandez being gay for a while now, so it's not a big surprise that people are really digging up the wanna-be idol's past.

but i am having a hard time with how his past is being portrayed.  i know it is impossible for society as a whole to be bias-free when it comes to the activities he is being associated with, but i hate the idea that this information is being twisted into a reason to perhaps disqualify him from the idol competiton.

people have pasts. people make mistakes. people are human.  and i am not trying to say that david's gay "stripper" past is something he should be ashamed about, but others are and it's just fucking annoying.  it seems that people want to make an issue of it because he is most likely gay and the fact that he was an exotic dancer at a gay bar makes him a dubious character.  well, fuck off!  he's young and he did what he felt he had to do to survive.  not everyone is going to be born to read more >>

well, i finally decides that it was more manageable to write recaps about make me a supermodel when there were less competitors left.  plus no one cares about the participants that get voted off early on in the series.  and you all know it's true.

so it was week seven for the remaining eight models, meaning that the beginning of next week's show will see one of them being sent home.  one of my faves is in the bottom three this week after having done well the week prior. anyway, i'm hoping that the viewing public did the right thing and voted for him to stay in.  i know we did.
